DiE - Vexed (2014)

U.K. distorted Hardcore Punk.  DIE comes in like a tough guy with actually good taste in punk...if you know what I mean.  It seemes that this band was short lived with only putting out 2 ep's but they are some solid feet movers if you had a chance to pick them up on 7".  8 songs. 8 min long.  Just enough time for you jabronies to get a quick workout in before hitting the clubs.

Alastor - Black Magic (2017)

Crushing Psych/Doom from Sweeden.  Alastor has figured out this genre like they grew up in a witch's cauldron.  3 heavy fuzz-drenched tracks that clock in at about 34 minutes with elements of Electric Wizard and Windhand that are hard to disappoint.  Black Magic is their first EP release while releasing another 2 song EP called Blood On Satan's Claw on Graven Earth Records.  So this band has managed to stand out with only 5 songs...promising future for these Swedish doom heads.

The Men - Leave Home (2011)

Brooklyn's The Men released Leave Home back in 2011 and have been making dads bob their heads ever since.  This album is a perfect mix of 90's and post-hardcore with each song changing up styles and getting more noisy.  You can actually feel all the bed bugs crawling into your eardrums as Leave Home makes it's stay.  Some superb Rock and Roll.

Extortion - Loose Screws (2008)

Pissed off Power-Violence from Australia.  Extortion is a full on fury that was released in 2008 on Resist Records that knocks over all your wine glasses at Thanksgiving dinner without the courtesy to apologize.  Snotty, pulverizing and perfect for pissing off your neighbors. They also have some of the best t-shirts in the game.  Check these bad suckas out!

Mare Cognitum - Phobos Monolith (2014)

If you don't know, know you know.  Mare Cognitum is a one man project out of California, currently Oregon, that plays 10/10 Atmospheric Black Metal.  Seriously, Phobos Monolith, 4 songs clocking in at 49 minutes, is absolutely beautiful.  Tremolo picks into space, wall of drums...machine and reverb dense vocals paints a perfect brain vacation.  I highly suggest listing to this by yourself, with some headphones and stoned.  Id like to listen to this floating in a salt bath and it cranked up to 10.  Mare Cognitum has put out 4 full lengths and 2 splits, Phobos Monolith being his 3rd.  Whole collection is solid, this is just my favorite.

Tyrannamen - Tyrannamen (2016)

Straight up grown man Rock and Roll.  Aussie's Tyrannamen (Static Shock Records) play an honest style of punk/rnr that bleeds through your speakers until you stop trying so hard to fit in.  No special effects or a 15 piece pedal-board set to prove that you can play some stripped down fun.  "Ballad Punk" is the genre I made for them.  Ramones could fit in there too.

Werewolves - Grind Melon (2008)

Baltimore punk/grind from 2008 that makes you wanna eat a massive amount of mushrooms and go hang out with Shannon Hoon at OEF.  I feel that is exactly what they did to record Grind Melon.  They are no more but were a blast to see live.
